|Qualifications:||Minimum qualifications per Head Start regulations
(for Federally Funded classrooms):
Child Development Associate (CDA) credential for Preschool setting; OR
be enrolled in an AA/BA degree program; OR
be enrolled in a program with ability to obtain a CDA as required by Federal Head Start Performance Standards and the Head Start Act of 2007 within 2 years of hire.
|Responsibilities/Duties (Summary):||To assist the Teacher in planning and carrying out educational activities to meet the HS Performance Standards and local plan.
Implement educational activities by providing and maintaining an atmosphere in the State-Funded
classroom that promotes school readiness and developmentally appropriate practices for 3 and 4-year old children.
|Terms of Employment:||REQUIREMENTS to be satisfied PRIOR TO HIRE:
a) Proof of Degree/Certification and Experience Required to meet the Qualifications for position
b) FBI Clearance/Fingerprints
c) PA State Police Criminal Record Check
d) PA Child Abuse History Clearance
e) Successful completion of Pre-Employment Physical Examination which includes a Tuberculosis screening
LOCATION AND HOURS:
(1) NANTICOKE CENTER - 1010 South Hanover Street, Nanticoke
(2)HAZLETON/Carson -663 Carson St, Hazleton
Full Time 37.5hrs/wk, Non-Exempt Status
Works a School Schedule 10-months, Aug-June
Salary/Hourly - based on individual's education:
$11.69 minimum AA degree in Early Childhood Education
$11.07 CDA credential
$10.55 HS Diploma/GED
